Kutaisi – ქუთაისი

Went to Kutaisi, Georgia’s “second city,” of sorts. Saw some cows (they stopped traffic a lot), a church built in the 8th century, a river called “Red Water,” and a neat city center that’s basically being entirely rebuilt.

Kutaisi also had lots of nice cheap food. Like this cake, made of apples, and this yummy grape soda.

I went on a midnight walk with a group of young Georgian girls, who study in the University there, which was very nice. We talked about Nicki Minaj, boyfriends, face piercings, and had plenty of mistranslations. It was great.
